what amp should i buy for a 1000w sub

just wonder if you can help me...ive bought a 1000w sub and just wondering what power amp would be best to power it? thanks

Yes, it may say 1000 watts peak, but we look at the RMS or Continous power rating # as a real guide.

Knowing the make and model # of this sub will help a lot and save you some headaches/cost as well.

its a fly frequency 12" sub
rms=300watts
frequency response=20-1500khz

Hum, not a brand we are familiar with. Do you know what the voice coil rating on ohms this sub would have? Is that Fli ?

Single coil: 4 or 8 ohms
Dual Coils: 2+2 or 4+4 coil sets are most common

Knowing that will help us with an amp solution.

Much better info on that link. It looks like a 4 ohm, single coil sub and not bad specs as well.

The Fli Loaded 450 amp is a good match for this sub when bridged to a single MONO channel mode. The price is good for the features this amp has and a good overal all fit for 1 Fli sub.
