Hi,
I have a Yamaha Rhino with 2 PhoenixGold compoment and a 8"sub. I then run either a MP3 or a Sirius unit from the 1/8'' headphone jack to a gain adjuster for the volume. I "had" an ols MTX 4300 until I lent out my Rhino and they tried to wash it while listening to it. It fried the amp. It actaully held up for a long time until this incident. I'd like to replace the amp with something inexpensive. Perhaps a marine amp, or used, or ? I'd like some feedback on where or what to buy.

I think you have a good start... but a 4 channel Marine type amp might be a best option choice if this is a 4 ohm sub. A 2 channel would be fine for the PG's, if the sub was already powered by an internal amp. (That was not mentioned)

With this amp, the front channels will power your PG's and have active HP filtering. The sub can be bridged off the rear channels and use the active/passive LPF to control the sub.
One thing the manual is not clear on, is if the front and rear channels both have separate HP/LP filters. An e-mail or call to Kicker.com will confirm your options.

I recall it is a dual voice coil.

If it's a 2+2 DVC, perfect match. If it's a 4+4 DVC, can still be used as an 8 ohm woofer, but less power from the amp is all.
