hi, i had visited your site and read thru ur blogs, definitely people have rightly appreciated about you. Buddy i have a swift zxi , that means i have an in dash system with company fitted 4 speakers, i want to put bass tube as i am techno fan.. so could you please advice me the right way to do it. mi budget does not include chaning the head, is it worth the sound quality if use 4 channel amp and a 800w jbl base tube. girish sachdev gurgaon Replies (1) swez on 01/23/2009 21:54:50 This is a simple one. A modest bass module with sub and a built in power amp will fit the bill with minimal cost and effort. All you need to do is tap audio off the rear speakers, feed that to the sub amp, run a power line and ground and Viola, bass to fill in the gaps. Infinity's Bass Link will do the job if you can get your hands on one in your area. There are others that will do OK too. It just depends on what is available in your locale. Here's what the Infinity Bass Link is about: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_108BASSLIN/Infinity-Basslink.html?search=Infinity+Bass+Link http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/Manuals/108/108BASSLIN.PDF (Manual) There are 3 versions available by Infinity and they are a sister division of JBL, Harmon Kardon and Crown. (Yep... big names around the world) If you can get your hands on one of these, it's practically plug and play and the same general idea as the JBL version mentioned. What do you think? Swez PS JBL & Infinity both mention a 4 channel input off the factory radio. However, just using the rear speaker lines should do the trick. The rear channels are the same as the front channels in content. The only difference is setting the amp gains to get the bass desired. Bass is usually the same on F/R channels. A Y-splitter cable may help fill the gaps. Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
