OT: Some good news from NYC

Hey guys,

Have any been following the story of a jetliner that ditched in the Hudson River on Wednesday afternoon? It's an amazing story of a heads up pilot and crew who made an emergency crash landing in the Hudson River after a suspected dual bird strike to one or both engines.

As the liner hit the water at about 150 MPH, there were a swarm of recue water craft on the scene to pull stranded passengers off the wings, inflatable rafts and out of the icey waters.

All 155 passengers were saved and all 5 crew and pilots got out alive and to safety in under 1 hour. The captain was the last man out after 2 passes through the submerged body of the airplane, looking for any that did not get out yet.

With all the bad news we keep hearing about of late, it's refreshing to have some good news to cheer about. There were a lot of heros in this story and right now, that is what our country needs to see. USFLAG CLAP

agreed.. the pilot did a great job. He even gave one of the passengers that fell into the water the suit jacket off of his back.
