are this years kicker comp VR's better than last years? i saw they only changed the cone, did it make that much of a difference?

Contact Tech Service for Kicker and ask them why they changed the cone design and if it made any difference. My guess, they may have wanted to change the looks, use a new vendor or had problems with older models that solicited a change in this years' model.

no they are the same sub just different looks. i asked the stereo shop and they said they are the same thing. they probably just wanted to make them look better than the plain ones of last year.

how come everything kicker makes, has "comp" in their name???

not everything has comp in it.....they have kicker truck boxes that use subs that are a lower model than the Kicker Comp's and the Solos dont have comp in them....and neither does their amps :D only 2 of their subs have comp in the name...also none of their speakers have comp in it either............and i think this years model handles a little more power (maybe 50w more) im not sure.....but yea...if thats changed (and im prety sure it has) then im sure some other things have changed.
