How do you wire a cut harness from factory radio on a 2000 honda civic to a new sony radio wire harness? A blind partner will only caused you to stumble too. Forget the Orange ILL wire for the dash too. Most Aftermarket HU's have menu lighting presets. (Now you have 9 wires out of the way) That just leaves the following: Red => ACC/IGN connection Yellow => +12 volt constant for station Memory and Clock Black => ground (do not use factory harness ground, make your own ground connection to floorpan, firewall or inside metal brackets in the HU install pocket) Blue => If you have a power antenna Good luck and be patient as you go, Swez PS I may have found the solution to your wiring needs. The lower diagram might match your car. There is a typo here. The would be pin M.
