ultimately i am going to build a box that i am not too sure if i can count on an affordable speaker to perform..... or should i go all out in getting the best subs possible(within a reasonable budget)to obtain longevity?

I think the amp pushing the sub is more important then the sub but I always recomend getting the best your budget will allow
