PS: by the way, not many people on CK would have proper instruments, and software to measure SPL ...i saw your post on the Oscope... you're one lucky guy to have all this on a newB level.... never had one until i started a business, toiled through all the hardwork and hard consumers to make some profit of it and then thought of investing in such equipments....

lol.. I dont have an O'scope yet, and dont really plan to buy one in near future either.... cause the lack of these hi-tech instruments really doesnt stop work , neither do i feel that it would in anyways help me make my way through the consumers pocket GRIN ...

I have somehow always measured investing in such equipments against the earnings it could get me...

I don't say its a useless instrument, it can do wonders if applied rightly... but i would not convince myself of buying it until it becomes completely necessary for the business.... and until i don't reach a stage where i cant move ahead without some particular piece of equipment...

yeah that makes perfect sense about investing in such equipment. I actually lucked out- this Oscope was bought by Six Flags a LONG time ago (early 90s?) and saw a few years of use then was tossed in a storage bin. Us sound techs had the job of clearing it out and whatever junk was left was up for grabs and i scored the Oscope!

i'm pretty happy with it considering i cant afford a replacement DMM but have the scope at my fingertips GRIN

and i played a tone sweep 30-60 and found that 50hz is my cabin peak so i ran numbers @50hz 48hz 40hz then played Jeezy with the drivers window down and got my max score for the day (142.5)
