I have (6) 12in. 4 ohm dvc kicker cvr's and I wired them in a series in the box and then parallel on the outside to a Directed 1200t amp. and it sounds like I have 2 twelves. I think I need a bigger amp. But how many watts Rms should go to each speaker.

each sub needs 150rms so u need an amp rated at least a 900 to 1000rms at 1ohm

Not only power here is the answer to this install. Kicker subs love larger enclosures than other brand to feel the low-end bump. They do OK in larger sealed chambers, but even better in large, port-tuned designs.

Can you explain more about this project? I suspect the enclosure is not optimized for these subs and if you have a smaller sedan, cancellation issues could be the root of your dissatisfaction.

Spell it all out so we can look at your best options. In more cases than not, "Less is often More".
