OT: Fixing a Rigged Election

Folks

We're not talking about last nights presidential election, we're talking about Country Music Television.

I have a friend that is competing in the CMT Music City Madness competition set up like the NCAA March Madness. 64 of the top rated unsigned artists are competing for a Warner Brothers Recording Contract sponsored by Chevy. In the first round he won a lopsided race and we're all excited for him. In Round 2, he ran into last year's #4 finisher.

After looking at last night's returns, this guy got more votes than CMT had viewers!!! Why? because the contest doesn't have any control measures for people voting multiple times!!! Contest being run by ACORN?

In order to win, however, he'll need 1000 votes a day just to offset this truly farsical method of holding a contest. Therefore, as National Campaign Chair, I, Mr Brownstone am an alcholo.....wait, wrong meeting.

I'm asking if you folks would head the CMT site and in the bottom right hand bracket, please cast a few votes for Jim Vilandre and any other contestants you would like. Here's the link:

http://www.cmt.com/interact/music_city_madness/vote/

Remember, since his competition is robo voting, there's not penalty for voting multiple times. How I'm achieving votes is opening multiple tabs (Vista) or windows (XP or Mac). Please vote early, often, in fact, 25 times wouldn't be a shock to anyone's system.

If you would help me with this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Sincerely,

Mr Brownstone, Past Campaign Chair USFLAG
Swez for Governor, Constantinople '13 (the year thirteen AD)

Too funny ttocs LOL... but when you get a few more years under your belt, Country Music will probably register as a more than casual bah!

If you would like some exposure to some of the best Country music out there, consider Brooks and Dunn, Hank Jr., George Jones, Alabama, Lee Greenwood and the list goes on.

One thing many/most have learned about Country Music, it's an acquired taste, based on life experiences. That takes time and many Country artists speak from the heart and soul of tough life experiences.

Some will never get it. Others will, when they have been through some major changes/setbacks in life and can relate. (Hum, BTDT)

PS Look up George Jones and find his cut... "Born an Azzhole". Also, look up Lee Greenwood's "Proud to be an American" and Toby Keith's hit..."Should have Been a Cowboy".

PS "I should have been a Cowboy"! Yes, am a "Maverick" just like you and write my own rules when possible. When not possible, try to blend in on the outside, but march to my own beat. If you don't have access to these, just ask and I'll shoot them your way! SMILE

PSS Although we have never chatted over the phone, it high time we did. If you wish, can shoot you an e-mail/Club-mail and a phone # so we can connect. "Dad-gum-it"... after all these years, it's about time we connect. What say you? Your move pal! (Would consider it an honor to chat w/ ya)

those shows usually have in the fine print that they have the ability to ignore all votes and declare a winner regardless of popularity. SAD

Hey, win or lose, I'll always have Swez's Victory in Constantinople. They said such a young campaign manager shouldn't be entrusted with such an old man's campaign, but nearly 2000 years later, Swez is still ruler of Island of Depends.
