Kenwood has come up with a firmware upgrade for older model like DDX5032 which enables the unit to play MPEG1/MPEG2 files on the USB. If there is an upgrade for older model like DDX5032, surely there has to be some upgrade for my model DDX8032BT which is the latest in the class.

If this is true, then a call to 1-800-KENWOOD might work. I couldn't find anything online.
