I had one Vibe black air 15" SVC sub at 650RMS at 4ohm running on a calibra 650 watt RMS 4 ohm.. then yesterday i went to fit another black air 15" sub.. but those fools at the audio place i think jus wired the second sub onto the feed frm de amp which goes 2 de 1st 1.. it playd 4 a while but i could hear that the bass was slightly distorted...thn 5 min later the amp just went off... and now its showing a red light on PRT (dnt knw wat PRT stands 4) but the power light is off.. what happened to my amp? is it dead or is it a fuse? please help...

PRT= protect
check all of your fuses and the wiring of the subs..
sounds like the subs are wired to an ohmic load the amp isnt stable at

do they have the amp bridged or is it running stereo? If it is bridged the new wires will be connected to the exact same place as the old ones and that will give the amp a 2 ohm load and could be putting it into protection.

but it said 2 ohm stable on da box... well i did sum research and it seems dat the amp was wired at 2 ohm with the 2 subs meaning it was wired correctly... so i dont understand y is it going in2 protect?

its a monoblock amp as i said earlier...it onli has 1 channel so its impossible 2 wire in stereo dnt u think?

that is the first you mentioned it is a mono amp. It sounds as though it should be able to work. Try disconnecting one sub and see what happens.
