rayray, please we have never meant to hurt anyones feeling on here. I never brought up your equipment as I understood how it was when you just could not afford much more. Now while I understand, I/we were hoping that you could learn from our mistakes as all of us have been there and realized shortly afterwards that when you buy cheap car audio gear, you just end up buying twice. You can make it sound good and that can be an accomplishment in its own but when it burns out a few months after the warrenty ends you are left empty handed. It is a tough lesson to learn and we always hope that the people here learn it the easy way. I have no problem helping a person if they are installing rockwood or diamond audio as long as the gear they are using is even somewhat properly matched, but your recent sub/amp mix was all wrong. It will play, and may not sound too bad but I just promise that it will leave you wanting more.....

The first step in building a box to port through the rear deck is to plan your box. You will need to know what type of music and the freq you want to build the box tuned for. Once you have a plan then you can calculate the port length and after that it is little more then cutting a hole in the rear deck(you might be able to fire it through the factory sub hole). Now that is a short paragraph describing the process but in reality the devil is in the details and there are a lot of small details. I would rate this as a fairly indepth project to get everything to work right and if it is not done right you will again be wanting more.

RayRay... We are not bashers here and we avoid it as much as possible.

SQLThump & Ttocs gave very good overviews of where things are now in your system and what "could be" with some careful planning and matching.

Personally, have stayed out of this post for now as the "student is not ready to hear and take heed" of solid advice. When guys buy blindly and then come here to force the issue and ask us to make gold from lead weights, I just pull back and wait. (He's not getting the process just yet)

OK, moving along... the Bahn Subs are not a bad choice. However, to power them to their full potential, it takes the right enclosure design and adequate amping power to get all these puppies have to deliver. (You may think this system pounds it out now as is. (OK, that's your choice)

However, many of the Gold's on this forum know there is way more bass to be had if one steps back, thinks things through and allows skilled hands to guide and finish the job well. To date, that does not seem to be getting through.

So, I ask that you take a deep breath, open the mind to skilled members and allow us to show you the way to a whole new level. (Believe me, there's a lot more in the bag that is yet to be examined)

Comments please? (Are you ready for a real step up?) If yes, we can indeed, show you how.
