Will 2 15's in ported enclosurewill it fit in the trunk of my 2005 chevy malibu? Replies (7) kirchatndftbl on 10/10/2008 07:50:03 depends on what subs they are and the size of box it requires mbyte on 10/10/2008 20:47:11 Planet Audio Big Bangs Dual 2 Ohms ea. ttocs on 10/11/2008 01:46:39 It will depend on how big of a box you want, which is normally designed around what you want out of the box. You can probably fit a small sealed box in there for the 2 but it may limit the sound that you get out. Ported boxes can be louder if tuned properly but the are larger. MrBrownstone on 10/14/2008 10:01:43 Because of the size of those woofers, you'll either need to angle the face of the box to all 15" woofers to fit under the back deck. You could make a rear facing enclosure & have the woofers face the rear of the trunk. Those woofers, sealed or vented are going to consume a huge amount of trunk space & may even work in 'free air' if you decide to do so. If you want to use those woofers to their potential, you'll need to make a vented enclosure...or seal off the back deck & back seat & make a baffle for a free air configuration. Does your back seat fold down? mbyte on 10/14/2008 17:10:52 no mbyte on 10/14/2008 17:13:08 my trunk space is 42" wide ttocs on 10/15/2008 02:08:15 and two of those subs end-to-end = 30 inches. how tall is the opening? Should be more then 15" Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
