Another 15" Power Acoustik MOFO task

Hey guys, I seen someone else with a similar request... but a different attitude. I'm looking to run 4 15" Power Acoustik MOFOs in my caravan.... (yeah I know retarded) system costs way more than the bluebook value of van but oh well :)

I'm just needing dimensions on the box... it can be 2 seperate dual enclosures for all I care. I know it needs to be 3.4 cubic ft. per chamber and slot ported to 40hz (each chamber) I recal the slots being something like 4x10" to tune to 40hz.

If you guys have the time this would be insanely awesome.
I should have all my subs and the 2 amps within 2 weeks of this post. Thanks guys.

After reading a few replies from other Golds, have a hunch they will suggest a walled divider panel where the 3rd seat normally goes in this minivan for a wall of subs.

Don't know all the details on such designs and never attempted one. But as I have read, the key is to seal off the rear wall from floor to ceiling and both sides to gain maximum SPL. It often requires a good deal of fiberglass work for best results.

Anyone care to add comments?

I see what you're saying... I was going to do that but then... the wife... would kill me not being able to see behind her while she's driving (not a good driver anyway) ha! So I was actually thinking of just making the box from the bottom up... up to the bottom of the back window killing off any airspace that would've been waisted in that region. I'm just not sure on the boxes dimensions really. It doesn't have to be perfect... I just want it to sound good ya know?
Thanks.

You do realize that four ported MOFO woofers will eat up massive amounts of cargo space in the process right? (>15 ft^3 in all) That's just one part of the equation.

Another thing to consider is power consumption for each amp to power them will be well beyond what any stock electrical system can provide. Depending on the amps used, major electrical upgrades will be needed to obtain full SPL from each woofer. (Major expense here)

A 3rd consideration is weight of the enclosures and drivers. The rear shocks, springs will sag more than old Aunt Millies nylons.

May I suggest scaling back to only 2 Mofo's and 1 amp to drive them? Yes, you'll lose a few dB of bass this way, but a lot cheaper and still have Kidgo carry space and not the added expenses?

Comments?

Very good points mentioned there swez with a few comments i'd ilke to make. The Mofos are solid entry level drivers that will sound decent although for spl, reliability, and cleanliness i would recommend something along the lines of DC lvl 2s, or Fi SSDs

These drivers will sound very good on less watts with much better outcomes. 2kw on four fifteens will satisfy and then some.

As swez mentioned the box should be upwards of 15cuft net internal at ~35hz and when properly built, will be very, very heavy.

Upgrades needed to run a solid 2kw of power include Big 3 in 0ga, 0ga power +grounds H/O alt, Deep cycle battery/batteries (depending on the strength of the alt) and an MLA module

I understand all of this and have already made several changes.
I have an HO alternator (250amp) already done the Big 3 with 0ga wire. I have new "cargo shocks" on the back of the van and have no use for all the space... I also have 3 kinetik batteries as well. I already have 2 4kw amps to run these things and just want to get them in there.
