Boston Acoustics GT Amplifiers

Boston Acoustics has had their amps out for quite awhile now, but you don't hear much about them, I've had their speakers and subs in the last 3 trucks I've owned and love them. I would assume the amps are good since their speakers are, and since Boston Acoustics is owned by D&M holdings which owns Denon, Marantz, Mcintosh, and a bunch of other high end and pro audio companies. It's just funny you don't hear about them. Anyone got any comments about them?

Welcome to CK!

Yep, D&M Holdings Co has a wide array of consumer HT, Pro DJ and fine quality Mac amps in their shopping basket. The OEM side of car audio is BA's slice of the pie. (Mostly Chrysler branded OEM)

Even though BA has been around since the late 70's, they don't have the press and market share in aftermarket products they may well deserve. Just look at their competition:

JBL, Infinity, Becker,Rockford, Polk, Blau and a spate of other players that are very well-known and have huge marketing/advertising budgets as well.

Like most things in life, we have lots of choices and options. The brands we know best, are the ones most buy. A lot depends on what we as consumers, value the most.

Audio products have their fans and foes. But if you like what BA offers and don't mind the mid-premium prices, why not?

I was wowed by a set of boston speakers in a customers car over 10 yrs ago and have been impressed with them since. I have not heard much about their amps but that is not necessarily a bad thing as if there was something wrong with them the word would be out.
