Speaker Connectors

Speakers all have male solderless connectors, one a normal size for positive and one smaller for negative. Where on Earth can I find the female for the smaller connector that will accomodate a good size speaker wire, i.e. 10 gauge?

The lugs mentioned are probably solderable with enough heat and 60/40 Rosin core flux.

As for wire sizes, #12 wire is good up to 2400 watts "Continous power". #14 will get you 1400 watts "Continous power".

If you want to use female spade lugs here, use the large yellow ones and with some careful crimping of the rails, they will fit normal and small male spade lugs. It's a delicate deal, but it can be done.

Yup, crimping the sides of the reils is a very easy way to take care of this problem.

What makes you think they can't be soldered? If something is made of metal in any form, there is usually some kind of solder out there for it.

The size of your spade connectors gives me the impression that you really don't need that large of wire (component ~6.5" speakers). The large wire (larger than 12 guage) is completely unnecessary for those power levels

I would thin down the wire & use whatever fits the connector.
