GRIN Swez MrBrownstone on 06/24/2008 04:54:51 Club Knowledge: Proving Darwin Wrong since 1997 swez on 06/24/2008 05:36:52 Hehe, Darwinian theories are just that... theories. "Man" desires to postulate how we got here, when we arrived and where we might be headed. Human's are not at the top of the food chain as we think. (Or wish to believe) Could it be that like all things we see in the present, it took the genius of a Super Creative Being we cannot phathom, to produce life and intelligence on this rock called Earth, that is far greater then we can presently understand? Yes, we have a few new ideas in the basket, but so did the Ancient's that came before us. Why did they dissapear? Good questions huh? Swez SQLThump on 06/24/2008 09:15:27 Too much Survivorman??, yes but totally unrelated. Definitely more the case of too much time in a French resturant kitchen. I figure if I can make snails, thymus glands of veal calfs, and nasty cheeses that smell like a foot enjoyable for paying customers, I can definitely whip up some tasyt earthworm for Stoney when he has the munchies and no food in his house........ BTW-Les Stroud never had it so good. I put all of my 4-star kitchen expierence into that worm, and Stoney thought it was good enough to want another one. Up next....earthworm omelettes!! MrBrownstone on 06/24/2008 10:22:39 The whole point of Darwin's princinples was to explain how creatures make adaptations over generations. My favorite one is about us evolving from monkeys...which isn't true: 4500 yrs ago, monkeys begin eating bugs & rice using a primitive spoon. However, some Asians still use chopsticks. Hurry up Asians! you're missing evolution END SATIRE swez on 06/24/2008 15:11:30 Love it! Chop sticks are fine by me. One can pick and choose food at will or shovel it in like plow as they wish. The only problem I have with Chinese/Asian foods, it tastes great, but I'm hungry again in 3-4 hours. It's a good mix of protien, carbs and veggies as we all know. But most Western diets don't allow for eating every 4-6 hours. It's better for the body, but Western lifestyles are not geared for that cycle. That's why many Asian's live longer, remain healthy longer and stay lean for many years longer than those who live on Western diets. Swez MrBrownstone on 06/27/2008 04:54:01 they stay thin due to lack of food. That's why Rat, Dog, horse, & other 'Taipei' surprise foods are on the menu. Would you really eat eel any other way? newB on 06/27/2008 05:20:20 in watched a buddy pull a baby octopus out of his soup. promptly pulled the beak out and ate. >_< -Drew swez on 06/27/2008 06:52:49 Have tried eel before in an authentic Japanese restaurant. It was not too bad on a dare. The Mackeral was too much for me, but after a few cups of "Saki", what the hey... try em all. For those who have never tried Sushi or Sashimi, you're missing a real dining experience. Just go easy on that spicy green paste, (Wasabe) they serve on the side. It's got some bite to it. (A tart japanese radish) For starters, try the "California Roll". It's pretty tame and most will enjoy this with a small dash of wasabi and soy sause. Between selections, a small bite of Gari, (Pickled Ginger) will clear the palate. Ahhh, makes me wish I still worked for a Japanese trading company. Once we past the language and cultural barriers, it can be a blast. Swez Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
