My Dad disconnected the battery to install a new starter and now he can't turn on the Sony XR-6450 car stereo. He lives out of state so I'm not there to help but he says he's pushed every button. He also says it's getting power. Thanks for any help.

Just curious, if your dad is like mine then he probably just can't find the power button? I think sony is turned on by the source button if I remember correctly
If that is not it then start simple and check fuses. There are some under the dash as well as by the battery(what kind of car?) and when I suspect a fuse I check all of them. There is also another one mounted to the back of the radio.
