Hi all. I just got a new hu and hooked everthing up. I paired the unit with my phone via bluetooth. When I recieve a call I can hear the person but they cant hear me. Any suggestions?

where is the microphone? am I gonna sound stupid if I ask if you checked the manual?

i mounted the mic on the rear view mirror and the manual just says that the once the phone is paired everything should work.

Pairing is tricky on mix and match brands of Bluetooth devices. Some come with very clear instructions and have broad compatibilty with other devices. The cheap ones may be a lot harder to pair, especially off brands and those who assume most users fully understand pairing sequences. (Poor or little instructions)
After doing a few of them for friends and family, it's break out the manual, read it over a few times and then follow the directions to the letter. The other option is to go back to the seller of the devices and let a Pro show us how. They made money on the sale of XYZ gizzmo's. Let them work a little harder to service the customer after the sale when possible. That's part of their job too.
