I'm glad i dont have to listen to that everyday, but it was pretty awesome to get the demo!!! -Drew Replies (15) newB on 06/14/2008 16:09:11 Bonus Material i took at the Grass Valley Comp a few months back http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L36l2fLqMkc The Four 300A Alts charging up before the big hit really come out in the vid. builds the excitement- one of my personal favorites. -Drew Ash on 06/15/2008 01:33:00 That's just pure crazy! I wonder how much hearing loss has he suffered already ..... swez on 06/15/2008 02:55:45 I'm with Ash... that is madness. "Huh...what he say?" Pretty expensive blow dryer too. hehe Swez Ash on 06/15/2008 04:53:44 I know it's just for show and all, but the downside to high spl's is that once damage is done it is irreversible, then it is accelerated because you wil feel you need more since it will seem that you haven't yet gotten enough. Hence, you go get more gear to do more spl and continue the damage even faster. Kind a like a crack head chasing that "first high". A vicious cycle no doubt! newB on 06/15/2008 06:36:03 Yup!! Glad i'm not doing High 150s all day every day i would just get to carried away!! I am glad it was "internet worthy" last vid we took was not :-( -Drew SQLThump on 06/15/2008 08:27:02 Yeah, Meade's insane No. Cali daily driver is definitely a bit insane for Northern Co. Have seen a few of the vids in the past with the forty drinking and the blunt smoking, and think pairing that with driving, public places and insane 150Db+ is personally a pretty stupid combination. Mind you, I can be for all of the above, but in the right time and place. Personally, I view the city streets as appriote for only the 150Dbs, and only maybe on the occaisonal "tear up the strip" weekend cruise. But the weed smoking and the drinking should be kept in the garage when they are working on the car, not when operating on city streets where our freinds and family drive. Rolling around like this is a big reason people like those "lower the boom.com" folks are sweating the car audio scene in general, and I see where they are coming from. Makes me have a rare sense of relief that I live in a place that police seem to handle DUI enforcement pretty well........ Ash on 06/15/2008 14:07:52 Wowww! Didn't know all that was going on with that kat.... Why on earth anyone in the lime light would want to put themselves out there like that is beyond me. It's bad enough that the loud music draws attention from the fuzz; however, how will he explain the rest of the activity going on should they bust him? That's not an easy thing to comeback from, especially if you have any endorsements that helped get you the gear. Not very smart at all! SQLThump on 06/15/2008 15:07:23 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bE4mVivWsdo Yeah, vids like this should be kept off the net for protection of our hobby............. newB on 06/15/2008 19:23:14 to be fair i dont think i've ever seen him drink or smoke while driving, or in any of his vids (granted i've only seen a handful) the one you linked seemed to show others drinking- but most his demos are on spot no driving. Not defending him because what he does is up to him and he is a big boy but personally every time i cruise with him he is an upstanding safe guy (minus the 158dbs sitting on my chest) -Drew SQLThump on 06/15/2008 20:01:54 I feel you, but he was about to hit the forty at the end of that vid. I watched many of his vids, and not all of them are like that, and on a second review, I didn't see him toke it, but again a passenger. Again, its a lot of the association. Dude or his homies smoke and drink, and it looks bad for all of us "bassheads" or "enthusiasts" or whatever we decide to call ourselves for the day. It's plain unfortunate it works this way. Personally, say keep it in the garage, and by all means in the garage. I think in moderation both go great with any hobby, as long as it isn't cruising. Colorado never really had too much a problem with cruising, until it started to have a lot of racing, gang, drug, and drinking associated with it. As soon as it became an issue, they banned cruising throughout most of the state, and then it wasn't a problem for them, until the bored youth of smallish cities (75-125K) started looking elsewhere for fun. It plain sucks that the behavior of a few rotten eggs can ruin the fun for the whole hatchery. newB on 06/16/2008 03:42:55 yeah a lot of his stuff is on-the-spot i'm pretty sure in that vid it was all kept in the garage GRIN he has some crazy passengers i will admit @_@ -Drew ttocs on 06/16/2008 08:29:58 I built a car years ago with 4 12s and a couple big amps that was close to 150dbs and was enough for me. IT was funny because while we where playing it after tuning it, one of the large 6 ft long lights rattled out of the mount and broke next to the passenger side of the car. We didn't hear anything but, noticed the lights dim and alot of smoke/vapor on that side. We didn't know what the heck happened but laughed our buts off when we realized what it was... Even funnier yet was two weeks later he came back complaining that his trunk would no longer open. Sure enough the key, the button, the alarm, nothing worked..... He had a locksmith get into it and he said the lock mecanism had just been rattled all the hell and it was no wonder it didn't work. He wanted it loud, he got it loud....... too loud? maybe... You would think an infinity would have been built better but that was loud enough to blur your vision a little. ttocs on 06/16/2008 08:33:41 this one is funnier. A car that loud would rattle the hell out of a taco bell with a drop in ceiling..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fn5k3_U6qc8&feature=related swez on 06/16/2008 10:12:56 There's another wild clip where a woman at the driver's side door has a glass eye and the bass popped her eye out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1B-mQlQGFk&feature=user This is nuts and dangerous, Swez newB on 06/16/2008 17:59:19 GRIN it was one amazing demo i must admit GRINx2 -Drew Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
