bored and dreaming....

Now that I have had the system in for some a little while, and done some tweeking with it I have now exposed its problems. The diamond 3 ways are loud and clear, I have yet to hear them make any distortion even with the deck nearly wide open. I am sure this is because of the fact that they are bi-amped on the one 800.4 but now I have found that the 8's from time to time are missing on super low notes at high volume. This is no big suprise and I am still really happy with the perfomance of the 8's but I would like to fill in the low end a little better. I have been considering taking 2 of the 8s out, and using the free power on the 2nd 800.4 to drive a single sub either a 12 or a 15. If I bridge the two channels into a 4 ohm load I will get 400rms out of the amp which should be enough for an efficient sub. I grew tired of people complaining about the back seat some time ago and would have no qualms yanking it out and making a fiberglass enclosure to fit there. IT would be a long enclousure and I would probably mount the sub inverted as I would not need it very deep to get the air needed. This will negate the stealth idea of my stereo to date, but if I did it right it would look cool as hell so...... The way the seat mounts to the car it would be easy to make something that could still be pulled out for track days to follow that theme. I have never really looked at subs bigger then 10", what would you guys recommend? I am not concerned with budget as much as I am getting a solid sub that will rock the low end of the spectrum where my 8s lag(20-50hz maybe?) with the 400 rms at 4 ohms.

Maybe a Diamond Audio D3 15 with dual two ohms? That would match up nicely.......
