what subs do you have? We need model numbers or voice coil impedence(ohms) and configeration(singe or dual voice coil) to be sure that they are properly matched.

Matching a 4 channel amp for subs is not what it is made for.

Rayray,

This is an older High Current amp from Bahn. (2004) From what I have found on their website, when you bridge this amp down to a 2 channel version, it will deliver about 350 watts to a 2 ohm sub. That's nothing to sneeze at, but not taking full advantage of the subs noted either.

This amp has full crossover features for full range or bass. You'll need a copy of the manual to learn how to install it, set up the crossovers and wiring directions. Since this amp will deliver about 350 watts RMS x 2 channel, the proper wiring gage for the power line/ground would be #4 wire.

Here are links to the archived manuals for Bahn product to guide you:

thanks for the info i got one more question my suw woofers are 2ohm,8ohm,4ohm wich ohms should i wire them there 700 watts a piece.also on my 4 channel amp im i going to youse all 4 channels or youse + from channel 1/2 and - from 3/4 or just youse + & - from 1/2&3/4 bridged to each sub? one more question what amp do you reccomend that will push my 2 700 watt dual buy bahn

In this senario, wire each sub for 2 ohms each. (Each coil in parallel to it's mate) Each sub will be wired to a bridged channel set as noted below:

Sub A is 2 ohms and wired to bridged channels 1/2.
Sub B is 2 ohms and wired to bridged channels 3/4.

Use the LPF crossover feature here and set that to about 80-100 Hz.

The best choice for these sub in present Bahn amps would be the A12001DT. This is a Class D Mono amp with 1200 watts to a 1 ohm load. Each sub will get +600 watts of clean power and that's a lot of power for these subs.

Got all that?

PS Welcome to the CK family. Where are you from?

You may have done this correctly, but as I read your post, it confuses me a tad. Here are the steps recommended:

1. Wire sub A coils + to + and - to Minus (That's a 2 ohm load)
2. Bridge channels 1/2 and wire Sub A +'s to channel 1 + terminal
3. Bridge channels 1/2 and wire Sub A -'s to channel 1 - terminal
4. Repeat the same sequence with Sub B and channels 3/4 as before

The manual links I gave you explain all this well and it would be wise to print out a copy of the amp manual for your reference.

Note: This technique can only be used with "High Current" amps like the one you have. Do not try this option on "non-HC" amps or they will fry.

This should produce solid bass from the subs mentioned in your post. If you want a bit more thump later, a Class D Mono amp that is 1 ohm stable and produces 1,000 watts RMS or more @ 1 ohm loads will be needed.

Got all that? THINK
