Hi everyone,

I am building a car with a very loud sound systems, i have almost everything but still need to get the tweeters right.
I have seen a few tweeters with 130 watts rms which to me sounds as if it will blow when i turn the volume up.
Can anyone please advice me on what tweeters to use and maybe where to get it from.
I will be running them of kenwood crossovers and my system is currently give out over 2500 watts rms.

be happy to help, but we really need to know your system before we can start recommending speakers as it is important to match the impedences(ohms) of the speakers.

Yes, more details would be most helpful here. What do you have in this system now?

One thing to understand about tweeters, they are often very highly efficient with moderate power and can put out a good deal of SPL at 50 watts RMS. (120 dB of SPL range)

Also, the higher the power rating, the higher the operating frequencies tend to be in small format tweets. (To handle high power and good output, the voice coils need to be large enough to handle the heat.

Say more please,
Swez
