Okay I've been mess'n around with my amps and stuff and I've noticed that my remote wire is getting pretty short, and I was wondering if the power antena wire could function the same as the remote wire. Replies (2) swez on 04/2/2008 20:08:48 Most antenna remotes only work when using the AM/FM reciever circuits. Once we switch to CD or AUX modes, the antenna circuit loses power, the antenna drops and any other circuits tied to it will also shut off. If your normal REM line is still usable, splice on an extension lead and tap off that from now on. As long as it's ~2" or longer now, it is still usable with an extension lead wire.
