I need some different opinion's about ARC Audio subs, I'd like to find out what everybody thinks about the sound and performace, and power handling. If any body has any expeirence's with these subs I'd like to hear back.

I have heard good things about them. No personal experience though.

some personal experience, only had them in 1.2cuft truck box on ~200w each and they really did impress me.
its a shame that the owner rewired them to a net 1ohm load and messed up the sub channel on his kicker 500.3

oh well.
i would give them a positive response, and would run them in a budget setup, i believe he had the KAR series but its been a while

They make great equipment.
Remember, it's 90% installation in this game. proper box building & installation is the key here.
Power ratings...well, reputable companies are either very accurate, or underrated by a small margin. Noone drastically underrates their speakers because there's no reason to.

I have NEVER paid any attention to a speakers power rating in almost 15 yrs installing... I have hooked big amps to small speakers, small amps to big speakers and everything inbetween and only found people had blown stuff when they wanted to. I am SURE that I am overpowering my 3 ways with the way I am bi-amping them but they have never sounded better and I do not plan on replacing them(because of failure or dis-satisfaction) for at least the next 10 yrs..... When I think back the only time I have ever blown any personal speakers was when I learned that you should not power one coil of a DVC sub so I was wanting to, even though I didn't want to.
I too have heard nothing bad about arch equipment but have not put my hands on them to tell about it. I could try it, let us know if you do and what you think?
