My cousin and I have been discussing ohm load impendence on subwwofers. Now... we both know about ohm ratings and how they break down through wiring. What we were conversing about is he was wanting to buy a system for a new car. He was wanting to put a total package of 1000 watt RMS.
The subs he was wanting to get were Rockford fosgate P3's with the dual 4 ohm vioce coils. Now with those subs he was wanting to run a Memphis PR-1.1000 which is rated at 1000 watts RMS@ 1 ohm.
Now my main question is, even though wired properly will come out @ 1ohm, will the subs handle the ohm load even though there is no mention of anywhere I've looked about them operating safely @1ohm?THINK
