Filter frequency control???

I just installed my amp and have adjusted the gains, but there are 2 frequency control knobs. One for channel A and one for B. I have 6 x 9 speakers attached to channel A and a Bass tube attached to channel B. Each frequency knob has a high pass filter setting and a low pass setting. Where should I adjust the setting too and what number should I set the frequency to? Each knob has a range of 50-200.

Thanks

you want the 6 x 9's on high pass, but at a low setting(approx 100hz, maybe lower). This will allow the 6 x 9's to play some of the bass, while taking out the really low stuff that it does not like. You want the opposit for the sub. Put it on low pass, and the freq will vary depending on what size it is. I really cannot tell you what to set it to exactly as there are too many variables(music preferances, vehicle type, pwr, ect). It is really up to you to set it to what sounds the best, and what you like. Welcome to the wonderfull world of tuning....

Yep, as ttocks said, 6x9's use Hi pass filter setting between 80-100 Hz and for your sub channel... set the Low pass filter, somehwere between 80 and 120 Hz. You may have to make minor adjustments until it all sounds as good as it gets for your ride.
