I was wondering if I'm able to use 3 subs with my current setup.. My current Setup Single Sub http://sonicelectronix.com/item_8754_Rockford+Fosgate+Punch+P2D412.html Sub Amp http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=120&i=575P3001P&c=3&tp=115 Speaker amp http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=120&i=500MRPF250&c=3&tp=115 Components http://www.shopping.com/xPO-Infinity-Infinity-Reference-5010CS-Component-Speaker-System-5-1-4-2-Way-with-Soft-Dome-Tweeter Sub Box http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7008542&productCategoryId=abcat0302036&type=product&tab=2&id=1099392684268#productdetail What I'm wanting to put in..(They are just lying around) Subs http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?search=visionik&i=028V123BP Amp http://www.monstermarketplace.com/Automotive/Landing4681a61.html Car http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z187/Chevrolet_Cavalier_Z24.aspx If possible I'm most likely going to build a box for the most of the trunk and just scrap my old box.. I realize I'm probably going to need a new battery and maybe a capacitor or a alternator upgrade or something to that extent.. My idea was to make the two visonik subs run of the 2 channel and my original Rockford sub run off the mono Rockford p3 amp..So basically I would have 3 amps (one for components one for sub and one for 2 subs) Somehow I would need to branch off the power to all three..and get some Y splitters for the two sub amps? like I said I don't even know if this is possible..I never thought of doing it until I seen them laying in the basement Replies (5) swez on 03/9/2008 16:42:24 That Mdsound amp would make a good 2 channel amp to power front component speakers. (120 x 2 watts @ 4 ohms in stereo mode) The package as noted, (Md amp and Visoink subs) would help with additional bass, but look at all the real estate you'd have to give up for minimal bass improvements. If you had some time to do a little experimentation, consider removing the RF amp and sub and wiring up this Visonik and Md in its place. Would expect more bass from this package as BP sub enclosures tend to be notably more efficient than a sealed woofer box. The bass you'll get will be louder at near tuning frequency of the BP ports, but bass above tuning point will be attenuated and not likely to sound as smooth as the sealed RF sub does now. (Louder yes... smooth and well-rounded, probably not) Swez iXvXi on 03/9/2008 17:25:17 So what your saying is its not going to be much improvement?.. And if I was to build my own box will 3 subs will i need power that I don't have? Also what would I need? (like a 5 farad cap or 200A alternator or would I be fine) While building my current system my small town has been getting big on loud bass so I want to do everything I can to get to the top again. ( apparently clarity and low distortion doesn't go well in my town) iXvXi on 03/9/2008 17:29:02 Another thing.. The visonik box isn't in well condition so that's why I'm fixed on not using them in that box iXvXi on 03/10/2008 20:02:30 okay, I got a new Idea I'm thinking of selling the md sound amp and visonik subs for another p2... That means I'm going to need to get another p3 amp or one that can power both.. Someone recommended this.. http://www.cadencestore.com/ProductCart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=125&idproduct=386 I would prefer to get another p3 amp so I don't have to sell the other one but if I don't have enough power for it then I'm willing to settle for something else iXvXi on 03/10/2008 20:03:02 someones willing to purchase both of them for 250$ Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
