I think I would start over with more efficient speakers. I have never heard of a 450watt RMS / 900 watt peak 6x9. That is insane.

Unfortunately, this $50 pair of 6x9s needs an amplifier that is going to cost you $500 or more. You need to match up the RMS of the speakers to the RMS output of the amp. Finding a full range amplifier that produces 450 watts RMS at 4 ohms is near impossible.

I would start with a 400 watt RMS 4 channel amp rated to deliver 100 watts x 4 @ 4ohms. That will match the 4x6's and probably do fine with the 6x9s. It is really hard to believe they need 450 watts RMS.

You don't have to match brands for the best sound. That was the belief 10-15 years ago..
The infinity speakers you mentioned will work well with a modest 50watts x 4 @ 4ohms amplifier. Much cheaper, cleaner, and will probably last alot longer if taken care of. I might go up a step or two on the 6x9s. They are one of the lower line that infinity makes, I would spend a little more on a nicer model of infinitys.

As for the 2000watt 6x9s, they are catering to the crowd that thinks that a speaker that can handle 2000 watts is better in quality than a speaker that is only rated at 200 watts. Bigger magnets on regular speakers do not mean cleaner sound, they are an indication of a poorly built driver that needs a larger magnetic field and more power to move the cone. This does not go hand in hand with sound quality.
Subwoofers are a little different.

In the planning stages of any great system, we look at the end goal we hope to arrive at when finished and then work back from that point in a thoughful and systematic way.

Here at CK and other top sites, we talk in terms of 3 main focus points:

1. SQ (Clean, sound very realistic, as close to what was recorded in a studio)

2. SQL (Same idea here, but has the ability to put out some serious level sound and remain very accurate)

3. SPL (This is just plain loud and clarity, sound quality and balance are thrown out the window for LOUD) Many/most get very tired of that approach in time and move up to SQL installs eventually.

Infinity Ref Series are the entry level line for SQ/SQL speakers and subs from Infinity. These are solid performers, well priced and easy to obtain.

Infinity Kapps Series is the next step up to a more robust system that is primarily geared for SQL applications. These cost more and come in 2 and 4 ohm versions. For guys who want plenty of clean power, use an outboard amp that matches/exceeds RMS power specs and the 2 ohm version Comps in front and perhaps 2-3-way Coaxials in rear.

After chewing on this a bit, you'll have more questions and we can guide you along. Take your time, sell/trade the Boss gear if possible and plan on investment grade gear as you move from one step to the next.

PS There's a lot more to this game then just the gear too. Preping the vehicle with sound dampening material, optimal speaker positioning and adequate, (clean) power from amps will deliver the goods.
