i want to put speakers under my 1997 acura 3.5 rl. how hard are they to install and what type of speakers would be best?

That would be rather difficult, and not advisable.
I would try to find a place under the hood somewhere that will protect them from the elements.
You will need marine speakers for this type of application.

The question I would ask is WHY outside?
PA and a mobile "Boombox at the Beach" is a consideration for this application. However, as an external "broadcast system" for a daily driver is not a good idea.
Say more so we can get a better picture of your intent?
