well my preivous amp had two power and two ground connects that fit 8gauge wire. and now i move up to a normal amp that require just one 4 gauge, can i take a distrubtion block and connect the 2 8gauge power wires and then use the one 4gauge on the other side of the block to connect to the amp, basically reverse how the distrubtion block is used instead of breaking it down to multiple power wires, just use one.???

You could, but a single 4 gauge wire will carry more current than 2 8 gauge wires. You really need to upgrade to 4 gauge.

yeah i just have a cap hooked up also and its all wired already, i just didnt feel like rewiring everything, i thought just adding a distrubtion block would be ok, im not trying to get alot of power, im only gonna have a Rockford Fosgate 600d hooked up, so im not trying to bust 1000watts or anything, i figure 600 watts should be fine

That amp is not too heavy on power draw so you could do as mentioned in your post. Kit's solution is better, but your's will work in this case. Just be sure to pull the main fuse in these lines before you do the work.

PS What brand tires are you using on your Lincoln now? Am shopping for new tires for a 2000 T/C and not too crazy about the Michelin Symmetry series that came with the car. (225/60-R16)

They ride like mush, fair tread wear (45K miles) fair on wet pavment, but terrible traction in snow. Thoughts?

i need to get new ones also, my tires are worn down,.. they are not the factory tires, ill have to loook and tell you later what they are. but they ride like crap since its worn down.
