Hey guys,
Ive got a 95 Pontiac firebird i just got 2 10's and 2 6 by9's i want to hook up to a 1000 watt amp with an 8 gage install kit. Ive played around with car sterios before and im pretty sure i can do this.
To set up the amp i need to
- run the power cable to the amp from the battery
- make a ground wire to the frame
- run the blue remote wire to the back of my sterio and hook it up to the blue wire.
- then i know there are a positve and a negitive cable where exactly i hook them up to the back of the sterio i dont know ( any one know what there called?)
then my amp should work do i have that wrong in any way let me know please
Then hook up the subs
now for the 6by9's i dont know how to hook them up. can i just hook them up to the amp? what wireing do i need will it come in my amp kit?
please help me out

for the 6x9s mod them as best you can (assuming your stocks aren't 6x9s) if your stock rear stage is 6x9s just replace them. your going to want to run the amp JUST on the subs, not the coaxials, the 6x9s can wire right into your stock wires.
what your forgetting is the RCAs from the head unit to the amp, then speaker wire from amp to sub(s) if you tell us what make/model of 10s and amp we can tell you how they best match as far as woofer wiring goes

The 6x9s were in my old car and i took them out when i sold it and i was ganna make a box for them and put them in the back and keep all the speakers i already had. can i do that?
And the subs are 10 inch power acoustic's thats all i know i got them form a friend and the amp in a sony xplode 1000 watt
