i got a xplod head unit for christmas and i just go around to installing it. its an XLE so it has a factory amp, but because of this there are no after market wire harness's for it. i cut the factory harness and have been going through the routine procedures but because of the factory amp its making things difficult. does anyone have the wire diagram? or could give me a few tips on how to do this. thanks a lot

Ddevandry, The best strategy here may be to order something, anything like an RCA cable or product that you need for for your install from Crutchfield. Get the Master Sheets and lifetime support from them. They are very helpful with wiring diagrams and tech tips.

Someone here may have your answers too. I always try to throw some business to Crutch as they saved me on my first major install with working around the factory amps in my truck. They also found an adapter harness for a Lexus with Nakamichi equipment for me.

ok so i was able to find ground and battery 12v. there are 2 ignition 12v (im assuming one is for the power antenna). does anyone have a wire diagram. it would help out tremendously. i've looked all over the internet and nothing. its a 93 Camry XLE. the XLE has a different harness and wire diagram than the others. if you can help me it would be great.

I don't know why you think there was no hrns made for that car, but I bet you wish you had asked us sooner now.

I will give you the color code that I have for your car but you will need to test each of the wires before you hook ANYTHING up. My books have know to be wrong before and are a good reference but it is up to you to double check them..

constant - white/red or white
ignition - black/orange or black/yellow
drivers front+ pink
- violet
pass front + lt green
- blue
drivers rear + black
- yellow
pass rear + red
- white

I don't have a pwr ant wire color. Pull the trim away that is covering it and look at the wires on the antenna, you can also double check your rear speaker wire colors by pokin yer head in the trunk and lookin at the bottom of the speaker, and the wire colors going to it. Insert a AA battery between the two wires that I have listed for each speaker and the speaker that is connected to it will make a popping noise. Do this after putting a voltmeter on EVERY wire you see in there with the key on, off, as well as with the lights on.
