Welcome to Ck Jaquio!

We would be happy to help if you answer us a few questions first.

What is the make and model of the vehicle that you drive?

Is your budget in U.S. Dollars orr Panamanian currency?

What kind of music do you usually listen to?

What are your goals for this system? (Such as loud deep bass, crystal clear highs and mids, ect.)

What all do you intend to buy with this budget of 500? Such as amps for both main speakers and subs, speakers all around, a single or multi sub setup....the likes of that.

Excellent choice on the head unit, this is a pretty versatile unit, and will work well with a variety of system configurations. This definitely shows we are on the right path here.

Hi there... :)

Here are the answers for you questions SQLThump...

1. My vehicle is a 2000 Mitsubishi Lancer GL

2. My budget is indeed 500 Us Dollars... Here in panama we use
USA Dollars... :)

3. I usually listen to reggae, rap, hip hop music. But i also listen
casually to Dance, Techno, trance... and rarely Rock... (it
depends on my mood... lol)

4. I want it to be a medium range system. You know... to be able
to get a nice deep bass, but without losing the sound quality of the
mids and highs.

5. So far i've been told that the default config of a sound system
has 2 amps, one for the sub(s) and one for the speakers, so i
think i will go with that and 1 sub.

I want to buy a pair of Kenwood's Tweeters. Are this any good?... http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=10164

Regards from Panama... :)

Thanks for the great answers, this helps to put me on the samke page.

Alright, seems we are on the right path here. You may need to keep in mind the possible need for better speakers here, and the cost of wiring, enclosures, ect.. Building a system on $500 of our dollars seems to be getting more and more difficult.

Let me get back to you on getting something figured out, I need to sleep........

Regards back from the States!
