Got a crappy Pioneer KEH-P5000 don't know which wires do what. Please help because I am a loser. Replies (4) uochronos on 08/30/2003 03:10:00 well i have a pioneer DEH-P640 and it has the same wiring schematic as all the other DEH models and as all the KEH models i have just looked at couldnt find your model though... if you give me your email adress i will be more then happy to send you the schematic.... like i said all the ones i have looked at about 20 of them all are the same. i think pioneer keeps it simple and always uses same color wires... ttocs on 08/30/2003 17:21:51 actually, pioneer until a few years ago was the only manf to use something other then the standard wiring colors... red-------ignition yellow--constant black---ground white----drvrs front speaker green---drivrs rear grey-----pass front purple--pass rear Black indicators on the speaker wires are negative blue-----remote turn on orange--dimmer they used red---------ignition orange----constant black------ground blue--------remote green------drvrs front grn/black--drivrs front neg grn/red------drivers rear pos blk/grn-------drivers rear neg grey pass front pos grey/blk---pass front neg grey/red---pass rear pos blk/grey---pass rear neg There is a small black cap on the red wire of both color schemes. It is a small resistor that ALWAYS goes bad withing a few years. I just cut them off from the start. It works just fine without it and saves you time later, done it a million times. No reason to call yourself a looser. Welcome to the forum... Check out out fact section as it will answer alot of questions. Otherwise we are happy to help.... Wealot53 on 08/29/2004 02:42:26 we all have had the old pioneer problem their fault not ours! ttocs on 08/29/2004 18:54:52 I was wondering when I posted that....('03?)
