Just curious as to what the numbers in ( ) means by your name at the bottom of the page when you're logged in? THINK

i'm not entirely sure, but i believe that's how long you've been signed on

Yep, these are the number of hours a given person has been logged on to this site. If you see a name with a 0-1 next to their name, they are probably reading and posting after logging on. Larger numbers usually indicate they left the site and did not log out.

PS Also note the number of members that have been tallied. When I came here as a newbie in 1999, we had about 150 members. Ttocs and Mr. B were here then too. The three of us are really old-timers and have seen this site change and grow under the hands of our fearless leader... Walt Hargrave. Thank him for creating such a helpful site and funding it out of his own pocket for many years. (Donations help a lot)

Ok, thanks for solving my mystery! I can call off scooby doo and his gang now!

I want to know my member number. I wonder if Walt knows who is what number.
that would be interesting.

Im sure if you can get a confirm e-mail when you join the forum he would have a record of when who joined when. Then again maybe such record keeping isn't neccessary?

Just curious also, but can you change your name after creating an account, or would you have to make a new profile? Not that I am or would chane my name, just a random question I was think'n about!

I "think" you can change your screen name if desired. But when doing so, your old profile history is fixed. The activity under a new screen name is treated as a new user account.

FYI: This may be old news as I did that a few years ago when I changed to a new computer and ISP addy.

A few guys have also changed screen names recently, but who cares about the rest.... as long as you can get in, ask questions, post comments and such, the rest is NBD right?

There is one single annoyance with the change of name. Every time I log in, I have to erase "ShootuhMcBustaCap" and type in SQLThump. Nothing too bad, but kind of annoying over time.
