yes i'm back again, hopefully my busy schedule doesn't keep me away this time as it has in the past...here's an update on me... I'm still in school...i'm now a business adminstration student at Central Washington University. I'm working for oak harbor freight lines while i'm in school and i'm not doing too bad in general, school is getting kinda old but i'm workin through it, and work is....well....work. I don't hate my job and the pay is decent so i'm pretty happy. I've been out of the car audio scene for the past year and a half or so...I sold my infiniti, and with it went the sound system(JBL BP600.1, knukonceptz wiring, Resonant Engineering SE10 in ported box, Alpine HU, etc etc) Once the infiniti was sold i bought the mustang that i own now, and in that car i don't really need much other than a basic cd player. so for the past year and a half i've been pretty quiet as far as car audio goes...but after getting 10-15 mpg for so long and with gas prices going up I decided to pick up my dad's 92 chevy cavalier. I've been driving it pretty much every day and he had a small RE8 in there with a ported box and it got me thinking/interested again. So this paycheck i went on a buying spree(i've been saving up for a Built C4 tranny for the mustang for a couple paychecks and decided i needed to spend some money on something i could use right away GRIN ) new setup going in this weekend -big 3 upgrade -Infinity reference 6x9s in the rear -infinity reference 3.5s in front(yeah i know 3.5s, but you can't fit much else in the factory location and i don't want to fork out the money for kickpanels) -old pioneer 4 channel amp pushing the 6x9s and 3.5s -old PPI A300.2 for the subs -knukonceptz 4 AWG amp kit -Semi-new Panasonic HU with 4v preouts -2 10"kicker comp VR subs in ported enclosure I really can't wait, and the mustang needs go on vacation until all the winter mods are purchased. so the sooner the better for me. hopefully i can make a decent contribution, looks like there are a few new people since i was last active on the forums Nice to be back -Derek COFFEE Replies (3) Ash on 11/15/2007 04:33:21 Good to see ya back! swez on 11/15/2007 05:36:59 Hey... welcome back and good to see ya on CK again. Stangs are fun cars to drive and mileage can get better on longer trips and keeping one lead foot off the throttle. SMILE Yeah, we have a few new Golds here now and hoping to add a few more. The core is still in tact, and many new faces to keep us from going stir crazy. But as usual for this time of year, things are a bit slow here too. Welcome back, Swez xplicitblitzboi on 11/16/2007 22:31:03 yeah, but with the 351 windsor swapped in, ported heads, mild cam and a few bolt-ons...that lead foot get's pretty heavy and hard to pick up off the floor if you know what i mean :) It's good that things are slow for me, maybe that will give me a chance to catch up on all the new stuff i've missed out on. any buyouts that happened recently that resulted in quality issues for previously highly regarded companies? thanks for the welcoming responses :) Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
