what is the proper ajustment for a headlight?? I know how to do it , just don't know where it should be so I do not blind other drivers and so I can see the road Thanks for any help Replies (1) Tray on 08/29/2003 13:36:04 Well, it's complicated. At least in the US. I don't know about anywhere else, but would guess it's the same or similar, just possibly reversed, depending on which side of the road is driven. Each vehicle has a grade for each side that it is supposed to meet. Easiest demo Stand as if you are the car. Place your left arm straight out. Move your arm so the fingers are ~3 inches down Move your arm so the fingers are ~3 inches to the right Now your right arm. Place it straight out Move your arm so the fingers are ~1 inch down This should give a halfway decent estimate. Another way is to have a similar size car park alongside you, and both be facing a flat surface. Wall, garage door, barn, etc... Then try to align yours the same as theirs. NOTE - Make sure the drivers side is lower and over, so you do not blind oncoming traffic. The passenger side is *less important*, but still should be aligned properly Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
