Hey all, how is everyone?
I remember reading awhile back about how much this forum supports ED products. I was wondering if ED has offered this forum any special forum pricing?
I was searching the net for info on edead reviews and I pulled up a couple forums that people commented on it and compared it to other dampening, such as brownbread, dynamat and the like. One person posted a link and asked if people have checked out the forum pricing. I clicked the link to ED and it was a page offering discounted prices to people for that forum. Does CK have such a discount from ED? If not is this something anyone would be interested in contacting ED to see if our forum could get special deals through them as well? THINK

Discounts and donations would be extra nice!
Not that we are impartial to any particular brand, but there has been a lot guidance towards quite a few items from here alone. You would think that if a rep or someone ran across this site and saw the way it's run, there would be some sort of fringe benefits from the industry.

ed is getting bigger and more popular...merging with other brands....i would recommend their products to anyone...but i feel that it may be too late for any discount pricing....icix caught them in the early stages..so i think they got the hook up.they even have their own special section for ed related topics...

well,, for that matter, not just "ed".... i would say any company would be willing for such a tie-up if we could give them considerable sales and spread the word for their products...
any .. i would say ... any company..
but our admin.... Walt.. has the final word to it. If he is convinced and decides to take an initiative i guess this can be done with any manufacturer.
All that these guys look for is either sales or free advertising.. and CK can give em both of it...

I'd have to stand behind you on that Vic. I've foraged a lot different audio sites over the years and this is only one that has people to tell the honest truth about any brand without flaming.
If a company puts out at least a decent product they shouldn't be ashamed to have it mentioned here. Being one of the most friendliest and thorough audio sites on the web, I'm quite sure there has been a lot of business stemmed from CK over the years.
A little appreciation never hurts......

I hope that some of the manufactures get wise about CK and send some deals our way. This site definitely has some of the best help available on the net for audio enthusiasts of all levels. This site can give advice and help to professionals and rookies alike. I've been around and there just isn't another site as helpful as this one. CLAP

Ok so we all agree about CK's credibility and support to all car audio enthusiasts...
what matters to the manufacturer is how many hits their advertisements get, what kind of coverage can we give them, and most important the kind of sale leads they get from CK... and just a formal mail can do the trick with most manufacturers...
its a competitive world and who would not want as solid platform as CK...
and foremost, do we actually want to do this???
walt has the final word, lets wait for him to think it over and work it out... there may be many minute details to cover and a lot of web working for walt...
its requires much more work from his side than we cud imagine and he's a held up man with his hands in many trades, CK is something he likes to keep up as a knowledge geek... he's been actually paying out of his pocket to keep this site up whenever CK runs into a donation crisis...
there have been deeper thoughts within a few golds about starting a premium section of CK, where CK and the helping guide would get compensation for the valuable time and advice... this of course would be very much one to one basis and a lot of personal attention which would include system planning, system shopping, designing and if possible fabrication and installation too....
this of course is still on very basic levels of talk, but with premium services CK could also actually push sales of products we tie up with...
actually doesnt make sense talking about this until WALT takes a stand...
