My brother started working at a sign shop recently and I decided to take advatage of it. I had a custom decal made to cover the ford logo on the trunk as well as for the tape deck security cover. Hopefully sound domain will not pull the pic. I am not going to give a hyperlink to the page in hopes that it will not hijack your browser. cardomain.com ride # 2395420 page 1 has the ford logo cover and page 7 has the security cover. I would post pics here if I could. Replies (7) SQLThump on 11/1/2007 04:53:57 Those are sick! The Ford cover looks damn near factory, and the cover idea is one of the most original ideas have seen in a while. Looks better than my "BUCKET" letters for sure........... ttocs on 11/3/2007 01:28:20 http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=21319692 Let me know if that works..... SQLThump on 11/3/2007 03:43:27 Thats the single greatest thing i have seen in my life....... cplkittle on 11/4/2007 00:15:35 lol definitely a strong statement. Hope it does not encourage vandalism out of spite. cplkittle on 11/4/2007 00:22:36 Ask your brother if he can convert the file types to .dxf DXF files are the format many CNC machines use. I did alot of plexi work with ford logos, names, and designs that I found on the internet, emailed them to a friend that worked at a local sign company and had her convert them on their cutter program to .dxf. She emailed the dxf file to me and I had my friend load them on his CNC machine and viola.. flawless designs carved into plexi by a CNC machine. just a note, remove the paper from the side being cut or etched. If you don't the paper will come loose from the coolant sprayed on the bit, and wrap around the bit and break it. The bits turn at several thousand rpms. ttocs on 11/4/2007 09:46:30 You would have to have your face pressed up aginst the glass to be able to read it and anyone that is that close and lookin that hard, well that is what I want to say to them..... The flashing light is easily viewable as it is really bright but the actual words are hard to read unless you really try. I am happy with it, it is the little details that matter. I found the wire hrns's that I am going to use to allow me to quickly remove the amp rack and got them soldered up last night. I have a couple of spots on the rack that I am going to stiffen up with a little extra resin today. Mom flew out yesterday and I have been itchin to work on the system some more. swez on 11/4/2007 10:58:52 Nice touch and a stern warning too... Can you do tee shirts too? LOL Now that Mom's on her way home, life can return to normal again. (Whatever normal is...) Swez Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
