hi,iv'e just got hold of an old mosfet amplifier,purple with amp-480 on it.also 240wx2ch and 480w max@0.05% thd on it. i understand the ratings on it,well all but the thd but have been trying to find out a little more about it on the web but cant find the model. its bridgeable and has a serial number of 98010223 on it if that helps. I am sure someone will recognize it. swez on 10/29/2007 06:09:17 THD = Total Harmonic Distortion The number noted in your post indicates it's a very clean sounding amp at rated power. FYI: The Human ear cannot really detect THD values below about 3%. Most newer amps are rated at 1% THD.
