my question is how to strap two fusion am25001 NV amps together to get a 1 ohm load. also would i need to use both bass boost knobs or do i just need to use one Replies (7) ttocs on 10/5/2007 10:52:43 an amplifier has to be designed to be strapable and normally requires some kind of module to ensure the signal is balenced between the two amps. I have never actually done one myself. swez on 10/6/2007 10:35:23 Ace, Can you outline your plan and list the products you are going to be working with in this phase of the project? (It's been a while and a review is in order) Some amps are "strappable" while most are not. If the manual is available online, we'll need to view it and see what Fusion recommends on strapping options. This amp is rated as noted below: RMS Power Output: 825 Watts RMS MONO @ 4 Ohms 1310 Watts RMS MONO @ 2 Ohms 1790 Watts RMS MONO @ 1 Ohm If we look at the 2 ohm vs 1 ohm power ratings, the numbers appear large. (480 watts) However, in actual application, the real-world SPL differences are only about 1.3dB more SPL to 1 ohm loads. (Not much huh?) Comments? Swez Victor on 10/6/2007 15:39:26 why is this happening dave..walt...??? i view a post and it deletes a few replies.... am ******** tired of this.. new mouse... new windows OS... new drivers... Why the hell... ??? please solve this for me... swez on 10/6/2007 17:12:05 Ouch.... we have one mad Indian on the forum at the moment. If your computer is messing up, call Tech Support at "Smell Computer". They have techs in India that are very helpful and smart too. Here's a sample of how they handle customer issues: http://www.illwillpress.com/vault.html Play Tech-Support IV It may not cure your computer ills, but it will make you to laugh and take an insantity break. (Some profanity there, but your a man and can handle it) SMILE Ace, if you did post a reply today, please post it again. It seems we may have lost it to a glitch? Swez ace23 on 10/7/2007 13:17:25 i was wondering were my reply went lol. by the way sweet vid. that you metioned haha. anyway heres what i plan on putting in one 15' OLM2415 1+1 DVC Imp./Ohms olympus sub. Kinetik HC2000 - Kinetik 2250 Amp High Current Power Cell. two fusion NV-AM25001 amps . but my main question that i really want to know is that when you strap the amps together do you need both bass boost knobs or just the one going to the master. swez on 10/7/2007 16:01:18 Hum, see my post reply was deleted too... "I don't know the strapping steps for these amps". If Fusion had more details on their site and a manual for these amps, we'd have some plan of attack to show ya. Most strap amps I have noted are basically a Master/Slave type configuration. They can take the output of one amp and use it to drive and multiply the output by sharing power supplies and amlifier stages of the Master, combined with the Slave. These require special wiring techniques and a manual to set them up properly. I cannot find a manual for this amp Think your best bet here is to contact Tech Support for Fusion, (Not Ill-will) and ask for details on strapping these amps: http://www.fusioncaraudio.com/contact.php?region=6&action=makecontact&type=4 Swez PS Most Class D's are not strappable. There are a few that are, but have never worked with a system that was. (Sorry mate, would love to help, but my hands are tied w/o a manual) ace23 on 10/7/2007 17:44:10 thanks for looking into this i guess i'll just have contact fusion on this one but thanks anyways Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
