I am waiting to finish the passenger side(which is currently outside curing) before I cover them. I expect it will probably take a try or two before I get it perfect as with the removable grill it will be difficult. the speakers will mount to a plexi insert the same shape as the wooden one that I am going to paint to match the outside of the car. Diamond audio uses a crescent shaped moon as there logo so I will put that on the grill and cover it in a matching color grill cloth.

I never thought my cardomain page would get to 50 pics and 10 pages but it seems to be ever growing now. I am going to stop including the build pics in to make it a little easier to manage. I will keep them and be happy to share them upon request if anyone should ask. I have build pics of this kick panel as well if anyone would like to see them.

Everytime I open one of your links, I get spammed real bad or the link triggers my virus protection software.

Would love to watch the progress as it unfolds, but these hyperlinks are loaded with traps. MAD They don't close and take paths I don't want to deal with.

Anyone else having the same problems?

PS OK, the 2nd look was clean and these look really sweet. They have some bulk to them and "big feet" guys need to pay attentention. Me likie the show so far. SMILE

I get that spam from cardomain from time to time as well. It always stops the 2nd time I open it. I did loose the dead pedal but I didn't use it all that much. I have the pass side to prettymuch the same place now. I need to do some final trimming and then they are ready to be covered.

I had an hour long car ride across town today to see how I like the look and feel of them. I am happy that I realized that my size 12 foot will not fit between the clutch and the new kick panel before it was finished and had a speaker mounted in it(even with sandals on)... I would have really been pissed if I messed up the grill or the panel itself but I am happy to say I built them well enough that they can take a kick, or two, maybe three(while I am thinking "what the heck is in the way?!"). It will requre me getting used to sliding my foot under the pedal rather then next to it, maybe I'll slide that sandal off to get use to it and minimize damage.

I was able to get the passenger side to the point that I put a guide coat on it and checked out the rough fit for my drive today. I posted a pic on the cardomain site agian and also had the same spamm problem, does anyone else other they swez and me get this?

Yep, a few other guys mentioned the spam ads too. When I have looked at some other links to C/D, no spams. When I open your hyperlinks, spam is almost always attached and very annoying to break out of their hooks.

You wear a size 12 shoe? Dang mang... that's a big foot for a guy of your stature... hehe I'm 6'3'' and 225 lbs and wear a #12 shoe too. I think Ash mentioned he wears #13 stompers. Ain't that interesting?

it scares me to that you are taking note of those of us with big feet........

Hehe, that's funny. Just have a good memory for details and besides, after knowing you here for what... 8 years now... well, toss another burger on the bar-be.

In fact, I think you were the guru that helped me with my first sub/amp install details back in 1999. DVC's were just coming out to market back then and that is what I needed... a net 4 ohm load. So much for history.

Enjoy the new comps, (Whatever your shoe size)

Hum, think I came here in August, 1999 and bought the subs on 12/14/2000, (checked the receipt date) so yeah, we were both here when I bought them and the JBL Decade amp too.

A lot of water over the dam since then huh bro? 8~)
