Are you looking to get some or just being curious?
There isn't a such thing as the best overall subwoofer nor the best song as they are sort of suit to fit. Budget, musical tastes, space all dominate the choice for a particular sub.
I can say over the years there has been a lot of good sub designs abandoned and companies fallen (Kicker, Mtx, Pyle, Lanzar, etc) . Even Adire has gone. The market seems to be getting slim on decent drivers.
