I was just finishing up my work for Westwood Cable when Tech TV's Tech Gear show, was showing a little section on "Sound Drag-Racing" I think they called it. It rather amazed me one of the guys hit 170+ dB.... That's loud, very, very loud. You guys ever been in a competition? I'm not planning on it at all lol, but I planned that if someone wanted to bass out against me, I could actually make noise lol. If I ever find a competition somewhere then I'd probably get 2 more of the subs I have and another amp to push em, but I doubt that's gonna happen. One thing I do want is the bass cd they had, think it's possible to download some of the songs on it from somewhere? I have no idea what the name of the cd was or any of the songs, wish I did though. Termpro, and IASCA. Termpro's is referred to as "drags" around here. http://www.dbdrag.com/ And IASCA, is referred to as "ice" http://www.iasca.com/index2.php Both have different qualities, and competition levels, which some like, while others dislike. There are usually local competitions as well, depending on where you stay. Around here, CarToys, Quality Auto Sound, Circuit City, and sometimes the local radio station hold these smaller local competitions. I've attended quite a few different competitions, and have had many different installs. Some SQ, others SPL, just depending on my vehicle at the time. As far as test music goes, I would suggest looking into Bass Mekanik. The production of these CDs has been a joint effort between Team Gates, and some sound engineers. http://www.teamgates.org/ http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/stores/artist/glance/-/63589/ref=m_art_dp/102-8438611-5239333 Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
