i installed a kenwood 4 channel amp into my friends blazer, and there seems to be a problem. Every time the radio is on, the amp turn on but when we put a cd in it turns the amp off and we get no sound... what can it be?

If the HU/Player only has a power antenna line feed, when he goes into CD mode, the remote antenna feed shuts off and so will the amp.
What is the make and model # of the Radio/Player/HU he has now?
Most of the newer/better HU's have 2 remotes. One for the antenna and another for a remote amp turn on feature.
