Hey guys I really appreciate the help you give and have quietly read the forum for a couple of years now. I currently have an Infinity Reference 611a in my truck and some 10" perfects to go with it. I'm selling the truck and I'm getting a 2004 Acura TL. How much trouble and I lookin at installing this amp in the car? Its got the 6 channel surround sound system in it and that pretty much all i know about the current setup.

This amp does not offer high signal, (Speaker level) inputs, so you'll have to convert audio from the HU to RCA levels with a Line Out Convertor. (LOC) That is, assuming the HU is factory. If the HU is aftermarket and has rear channel or sub woofer output RCA's, that will be easy.

PS In the stock package, it looks like this car has 3.5" speakers in the dash and 6.5" speakers in the rear deck.

Yeah I assumed LOC was the only way to go... but the problem im looking at is where to tap into. I'm not sure if theres a stock amplifier somewhere. I don't know much about the ELS surround sound system it has in it. I just know that theres 8 speakers (tweets and 3.5's for the fronts, a center channel speaker in the front of the dash, speakers in the back doors, speakers on the back decks, and apparently some sort of subwoofer somewhere) Its a 6 channel system (Front left and right, back left and right, center, and sub) If it doesnt have an external amp, should I just get the signal from the sub channel?

Got it... Am sure there are factory amps in this package and the key would be to find out how to tap into the preamp side of the subwoofer amp and grab the signals from there.

I would be tempted to call Crutchfield and see if they have any poop on that package and any mod kits to help you. If we had some input from one of our Pro Installers, that would be great. But if not, call Crutch.

Swez you always got the best ideas! I totally forgot I actually bought the amp and subs from crutch, so getting technical support from them should be no problem at all.

LOL... Too funny, I admit some degree of not knowing how to help you at the moment and send you off to Crutch... it's good to know our limitations and point others to another reliable resource. (And he like the idea?) That's a first, but it may indeed be the best option available for now. They do have a few very good techs. (If you get one that is not much help, call back later and try another tech) Crutch does have a good reputation for Customer Support. (You paid for it too)

Let us know what you learn. Maybe they have a PAC integration kit that will get you to the next set of steps. BTW, does this Acura have a NAV system too?

Nah, no nav system :( But ive got navigation on my Pocket PC phone so it makes up for it :)
But I got the car yesterday!! Very slick car and plenty of power :) Six speed manual V6, 270 HP. And yes, I got pulled over for speeding the first day I had it :*( luckily i just got a warning!!

"But occifer... I just got this car today and it handles a lot different then my previous truck. I can't seem, to get used to the gas pedal on this new car. On my old truck, I had to mash the pedal to get it to move. This one is way different because it's made well and likes much rice".
