If you have power to amp, that's half the battle. Now, making sure the amp and subs are getting a signal from the Stock HU are your
next set of issues.

Can either use the high signal taps on amp and take speaker lines from rear deck and run them to amp inputs that way... or.... get a Line out convertor kit (LOC's) and convert high power signals from rear speakers to RCA voltage range and use RCA lines in the amp as inputs. Do you understand the methods mentioned? They are usually in the manual.

Finally you may wish to test the subs and amp first with a walkman or other remote source of music. Using the headphone jack and "Y" type RCA patch cords, you can test the sub and amp this way to be sure the amp and subs are OK.

Once you know the amp and subs are good, just have to tap the Stock HU speakers and get that signal into the amp.

PS How did you ground the amp? Need a bare metal ground to floor pan or similar to insure a proper ground and full power flow to the amp.

i grounded it by using a screw underneath my back seat..tis on there quite firmly ..so it aint moving. it goes right to bare metal.

Good job... that's the way to do it!

Now, you are going to need to figure out how to get an audio signal into you apm inputs and see/hear if the amp and subs are working. Set the amp gain at 50% (midpoint) and feed some audio signal onto the amp inputs.

This tells us the amp is working and sp are the subs. If you get not sound, then we have to check the subs all by themselves with an audio signal like a re3gular radio or audio off our computer sound card even.

If the subs work OK, then something is afoul in the amp set up or amp itself.
