I got a pair of visonik subs that put out 300 rms and 600 max , I was wondering if a amp that puts out 300 rms would be good .

Thanks

So you have a pair of Visonik subs that accept up to 300 watts RMS.

You would most likely want to look for an amplifier that will supply those subs with around 200 - 300 watts each.

What is the resistance of your subs? 4 ohm, 8 ohm, 4 ohm DVC?

Possible configs:

2 4 ohm subs wired in parallel for net 2 ohm load
+
Amplifier which supplies 400-600 watts RMS to 2 ohm mono.

2 4 ohm subs wired in stereo
+
Amplifier which supplies 200x2 - 300x2 RMS to 4 ohm stereo.

There are more, but I'm sure you get my drift, and if you need more info, we need more info to help you out.

Yes, you can go 500- 600 watt (RMS) amp w/o any problems. Picking the right amp to power your subs will be the next step and making sure your car electrical will have enough juice to power the amp is also important.

Are they installed inn a box yet? If yes... sealed, ported or other?
